1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctyltrichlorosilane (CAS 78560-45-9, C₈H₄Cl₃F₁₃Si, MW 481.54) is a colorless liquid with density 1.638 g/mL (25℃), boiling point 192℃, and refractive index 1.352. As a fluorosilane coupling agent, its molecular structure combines low surface energy of fluorine and film-forming property of silicon, forming a nanometer-thin film on substrates for excellent water/oil repellency and weatherability.
